What 313 LIVE collects when you listen, contact us or submit music, and what we do with it.
Last updated: October 11, 2026.
Who we are
313 LIVE (313live.org) is an internet radio station based in Detroit, Michigan. Questions about this policy or your data: admin@313live.org.
Listening to the stream
The audio stream, now-playing information and track requests are delivered by our streaming provider (AzuraCast hosting at a9.asurahosting.com). When you press Play, your browser connects directly to that service, which receives your IP address and browser/app details. It uses them to deliver the stream and to produce aggregate listener statistics (for example listener counts and approximate country or city). We use those statistics to understand our audience and to report to music licensing bodies where required. We do not use them to identify you.
Cookies and local storage
live313_sess: a strictly necessary session cookie (secure, HttpOnly). It keeps forms working and protects them against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser.- Player preferences in local storage (
live313_v3,live313_migration): your volume level and whether you were listening recently, so the player can offer “Tap to resume”. These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or social-media pixels.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation.
Music submissions
If you use Submit Music, we receive the details you enter. This can include artist and real name, email, phone, city and country, label and release details, social links, a bio, and the audio and cover-art files you upload. We use them to review your music for airplay and our library, to contact you about it, and, where you give permission on the form, to promote the release and the station. Uploaded files are stored on our web hosting.
Third-party services the site loads
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com): web fonts. Your browser’s IP address is sent to Google when the fonts load.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare): the icon font.
- YouTube: only if a page embeds a video and you play it.
How long we keep data
We keep contact messages and music submissions only as long as we need them for the purposes above, then delete them.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, as needed to run the site and stream, or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you sent us. Email admin@313live.org. You can clear the player preferences at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
